Whispering Birches

Seventy years ago, the European conflict raged. Having lost the bitter battles of Stalingrad and Leningrad, the Nazis were in full retreat. Within the extermination camps dotted across Poland, the killing reached its peak as Eichmann set eyes upon the last untouched Jewish community in Hungary. It was a race against time and within the camp, change was in the air.
Whispering Birches recounts the tale of those living through Auschwitz camp both as guard and inmate. In Kanada, guard Franz Wolff struggles to contain his feelings for Elena Prikaznova, the Jewess who sang her way into his heart. Despite an original repugnance, Elena is swayed through his courage and compassion insaving inmates, including her own sister extracted from the gas chamber by Franz.
A tale of love, betrayal and courage, the story will challenge your moral perception of what is right and what is wrong.
